Hey, hi — it’s me!

I’m Marisa Santiago, the founder and lead photographer of Barnscoe Photography. My mom always said I had a gypsy soul — a constant desire to explore, discover, and roam. She wasn’t wrong.

In 2018, I picked up my first camera, unsure of where it would take me. I couldn’t have imagined then that it would lead me here — building a career I love, traveling to breathtaking places, and capturing the raw, beautiful moments that define people’s stories.

While my formal education includes degrees and certifications, none of them are in photography. This craft is something I’ve pursued with passion and purpose — self-taught through endless hours of practice, experimentation, and a constant hunger to grow. Over time, I found myself drawn deeply to travel, elopement, wedding, and lifestyle photography. It filled my soul — blending my love for people, connection, and the natural wonder of the world around us.

Looking back on how far I’ve come fills me with gratitude. And looking ahead? I can only imagine what’s in store — next year, in five years, or a decade from now. One thing I know for sure: I’m exactly where I’m meant to be.
